Review: Drums of the Pacific Luau at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort

The Drums of the Pacific Luau at the Hyatt Regency Maui takes you on a journey through the islands of Polynesia, complete with a traditional imu ceremony and a great dinner buffet featuring the exotic flavors of native Hawaiian cuisine, including an all-you-can-eat buffet, a lavish desert bar, and open bar.

Overview
Drums of the Pacific is one of Maui’s most exciting luau's and is also the island’s longest running show, having enteratined more than two million visitors since the opening of the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa in 1980.

Sharing the legends and stories of Maui and Polynesia, the Drums of the Pacific Luau shows the contrast of island cultures, from the lyrical Hawaiian hula to the spectacular Samoan fire-knife dance, to the pulsating drum dances of Tahiti.  If you haven't been to a luau and are staying in the Kaanapali Beach area of Maui, I highly recommend checking out this luau and enjoying a lovely evening of culture, Hawaiian food, song and dance.

Overall, I highly recommend the Drums of the Pacific Luau if you'll be visiting Maui and staying in the Kaanapali Beach area.  The Polynesian Spectacular Show offers great food and entertainment with authentic dances and music of old Hawaii, Samoa, Fiji, New Zealand, Tahiti, Tonga, and Rarotonga, and an unforgettable fire-knife dance finale.  It is a perfect way to experience a Maui evening of culture, entertainment and delicious food and drinks.
