Review: Hotel Trio Healdsburg

Review: Hotel Trio Healdsburg

If you're looking for a great place to stay when visiting Healdsburg that offers all of the comfort of home and amazing service, look no further than Hotel Trio.

Located at the convergence of the Russian River, Dry Creek and Alexander Valley regions of Sonoma County, California, Hotel Trio is a Residence Inn by Marriott hotel offering a warm, comfortable, and convenient setting that is the perfect place to stay at when visiting Healdsburg (or a perfect stop over when heading up the California coast).

The hotel name is symbolic of and pays homage to the famous wine producing regions in the area.

During a recent trip up to Mendocino, we decided the 4-hour drive up from Sacramento needed to be broken up and Healdsburg seemed like the best place to stay, as it was approximately halfway from Sacramento up towards Mendocino.

Hotel Amenities at Hotel Trio include:

  • 122 Guest Rooms & Suites
    • Full Kitchens in Every Room & Suite
    • One King or Two Queen Guest Rooms
    • One-Bedroom Suites
  • Complimentary Breakfast
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi
  • Heated Outdoor Pool
  • Outdoor BBQ & Patio Area
  • Rose the Robot
    • For guests who prefer contactless deliveries, Rosé the Robot provides peace of mind as she can deliver items to their suite
  • Coffee and Wine Bar
  • Complimentary Shuttle to Downtown Healdsburg
  • Bicycle Rentals
  • Fitness Center
  • Business Center
  • Meeting/Event Space
  • Earn stay credit and Marriott Bonvoy points

For our recent stay here we booked a very unique room that featured two bunk beds with Queen beds.

The kitchen amenities made it easy to eat in the room and keep our distance during Covid times.

The highlight of this stay for the kids was definitely the dual bunk beds, as well as a visit from Rose the Robot, who delivered some wine for us and snacks for the kids we had ordered via room service.  We were so excited, we didn't snap any photos, but did get some cool video you can check out on our Instagram!

Overall, the hotel offered us a convenient place to stay the night before heading up the California Coast to Mendocino.  We didn't get a lot of time to explore Healdsburg (other than having lunch at the luxurious Montage Healdsburg the next day), but we plan on coming back soon to explore everything this great small town and wine region has to offer.
