Visit Pennyroyal Farm in Boonville, California for the Wine, Cheese and More!

Pennyroyal Farm is a family-owned sustainable farm, dairy, and vineyard located in Boonville, California in the rolling hills of Anderson Valley.  All of the wines and cheeses at Pennyroyal Farm come from entirely what they grow and tend to at the farm.

If you're heading to the Mendocino Area (or coming back),  stopping off at Pennyroyal Farm is a perfect way to break up the trip.

The farm is named after Pennyroyal mint that grows on the sixty-six acre farmstead and vineyard

The tasting room, conveniently located off of Highway 128, is open seven days a week with fun family friendly and informative tours offered daily (advance reservations needed).

The guided tour is a perfect activity for families to enjoy, which includes a guided tour of the farmstead creamery and vineyard, including a walk-through of the solar-powered barn to meet Pennyroyal's animals and learn about the integrative methods behind their handcrafted wine and cheese.

The tour concludes with a cheese tasting for everyone and wine (ages 21+) or juice for kids (and non-drinkers)

On our recent visit, we had a great time exploring Pennyroyal Farm.  Our guide provided great information and insights to everything that happens at Pennyroyal.  And the wine (grape juice for the kids) and goat cheese pairing at the end was the cherry on top and a big hit for our kiddos!

Safe to say we'll be back to get more wine and highly recommend adding this to your Northern California Coast itinerary.
